Fleischmann is a German manufacturer of model railroad products. The company was founded in Nuremberg in 1887 by Jean Fleischmann, as a toy company. Their first model train, in O scale, was produced in 1949. The first HO scale products were introduced in 1952 and the N scale "Piccolo" product line in 1969.

old Fleischmann logoNowadays, Fleischmann is a well-established brand name in the German model railroad industry, rivalling Märklin in market share. Since they focus almost exclusively on central European prototypes, Fleischmann is relatively unknown outside that area. Most Fleischmann HO products are made for the two-rail direct current system, but they make three-rail, Märklin-compatible versions of some locomotives.

I'm in search of the Fleischman town and country plastic layout that fit on a 4 by 8 platform it was called the town and country super deluxe set. my father had purchased one in 1958 before I was born and remember him setting this set up all through the 1960s he destroyed it in 1968 and I've been looking for another one ever since. does any one know of one some where? it's very important to me to be able to replace this plastic mold. please help!
►reply: Really difficult to find David. Are you sure it's a Fleischmann layout? I searched with 'town and country' and 'super deluxe set' but couldn't find anything. Only on YouTube I found a video but I don't think it's the same. Do you have a photo or more info? Send it to fabtintoys@gmail.com

hi.I have a fleischmann trainset With a lot of rails and Trains and some houses, and i Wonder how much this can be sold for? i live in norway and i don't know how to find a good price. hope you can help me :o)
►reply: Hi Veronica! That all depends on state, age, are the sets complete, are they boxed? Those kinds of things. So if you have a boxed set with a number on it, try and find the same set on eBay to see what other people ask, this way you can get an idea of the value. Or take some pictures and post them on a forum like modelrailforum.com or newrailwaymodellers.co.uk.

I am looking for a new chassis for the Fleischmann Streamliner model number 4872. New or good seconhand. Just discovered my recently acquired MIB model's chassis has disintegrated.
►reply: Best chance is to search for Fleischmann 4872 on this website. If the seller is outside your country ask if it's possible to ships internationally. Most sellers do.
