I have a Combex toy that I believe to be over 60 years old, I have not seen another like it. Its a boy pulling his jeans up but his backside is exposed. Unfortunately the squeak doesn't work anymore. It belonged to my grandads sister, I remember it from when I was a child around 6/7 years old and I'm 62 now. How do I send in a picture of the toy?

Hi, I still have my combex dog from childhood. Her name is Sheila lol, she's tall and #4358. Is she worth much to collectors? She came from Scotland to Australia with 4yo me. 😍
No idea! But you could have a look here to see if you can find yours: Combex Dogs (also click on the UK flag to see other items).

combex walker
It's the right picture and this is a picture of underneath.
Never seen these walkers by Combex, also I'm not sure if it has any value. Probably from mid 1990s. Try He-Man collectors, maybe there are some dedicated Facebook groups with fans and collectors.

Hi,
I hope somebody here can help with this item?
I picked this up in a charity shop this year and was wondering if anyone has any idea about its history or value?
Thanks in advance
Mau
Did you send the right picture?

I have a Combex night light teddy bear, bought in the middle sixties. The plastic base is still there. The problem is there is no electric fitting for the bulb holder. The bulb holder skews into the base, which is about 20mm across. I cannot find any fittings small enough to fit. Any suggestions, please I would appreciate it.
I've never seen these lights so I can't help you. Maybe you could contact the seller of this one: Combex light bears.

Hi, I recently acquired a Combex Jayne Mansfield Shaped Hot Water Bottle and wondered if anyone had any information on it or could point me in the right direction. There is lots of information available on the 1957 Poynter original from the USA but nothing on the Combex UK version. Any information on this rare and unusual product would be appreciated.
There was one for sale on eBay UK and sold for GBP 70 last month.

I'm looking for a Combex yellow elephant vinyl squeaky toy (about 14 cm high x 19 cm wide) that I had when I was a child in the early 1970s. I was somewhat similar to the "England Blue Elephant 4521" toy listed above but had a stockier shape and different eyes. I was very fond of this elephant and have looked for years for another, with no luck. f anyone sees or has one of these, can you please contact me through this board? I have a photo of what I'm looking for. Thank you!
For now, I don't see any Combex elephants for sale... It's always a challenge to find lost toys from the past. I hope someday you'll find your beloved toy again, Aimee!

Hi. I have a Combex, little boy in blue pyjamas with a bum flap. it was given to me when I was a baby. My grandma would take one toy of each child and keep for memories. She took my baby boy. I was not happy and every time I went to visit I looked in the spare room to say "hi" to my toy. It stayed there and at 8 yrs of age we set sail to Aust. I was not happy that I would never see squeaky toy again. At 25 years of age My grandma came for a trip to AU, and low and behold she gave me my little boy back. :-) I still have it to this day. :-)
What a wonderful story Kim, thanks so much sharing.

Hi. I have a Combex poodle night light that I used as a child in the 1950's/60's and now I'm wondering if it's possible to use it for my grandchild. I would probably have the electric replaced but can you tell me if the rubber becomes toxic or is flammable when the light bulb is burning inside it? Thanks Di
Should be ok if you replace the bulb with a low wattage bulb (low watt = low temperature), for example an LED lamp.

HelloI have a small collection of combex animals from around the 1950s. A couple of them have holes that appear to have been drilled into the body. The pig has two holes on the top and one near the taiI and a lamb has two holes on the head I am wondering if you could tell me the reason for this. thank you
Isn't it because they are squeaking toys so the air can get in and out?
Sandy - February 21, 2015
I have a Combex squeaky elephant about 5-6inches tall - squeaker not working but has got large flat ears and is yellow in colour - wearing a red bow in it's head. Wondered on age - 1960s maybe and value
Can't find exact dates, but indeed beginning of the 1960s maybe end 1950s. Value is around 10 to 20 GBP.

Does anyone know if the code NSRCL 1960 in relief on the base of a Combes Noddy figure means that it dates from 1960?
A lot of Combex figures on eBay have the same 1960 code so it could also be the 1960s, not specific 1960. Not 100% sure though...
